First of all, bass – lots of bass, that makes your belly dance. Open Season have their very own sound which ranges from traditional Ska and Rocksteady to Reggae and Dancehall. On top of it all, there are jazzy horns and the charismatic and warm voice of the lead singer. Open Season bridges sounds from the crackling of old vinyl singles to the cracking of the driest bass.

Open Season has played over 350 concerts so far and is now Switzerland’s first choice whenever it comes to Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae. The band has played at all big festivals and in the hippest clubs of Switzerland and it has toured Europe several times – also as the opening and backing-band for the leading New York artists Victor Rice and King Django. Open Season played at the official German music showcase Popkomm in 2007. „When I think of the energy and the message they bring to every stage, I know that it is the live audience of Open Season that is the luckiest“ (Victor Rice).
